7-inch Magellan RoadMate 1700
Yes.. you read it right the first time. Magellan is coming up with a new supersized GPS device – the Magellan RoadMate 1700. Looks like we’re shifting from 5-inch displays to 7-inch now, as a lot of companies have such big-screen models lined up for launch. The old 3.5-inch GPS devices are history now, as most smart phones with GPS are taking up that space now.
Now, this product is aimed at truck drivers and for other such large vehicles, but no one is stopping you from installing one of these in your little hatch. Coming to the specs of this new launch, it has the standard North American maps pre-loaded, text to speech, lane assistance, route planning, AAA tourbook etc.
The Roadmate 1700 will be priced at $299 and will be available in stores very soon.
